This Privacy Policy describes how Night School Math Club ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Collab platform and related services ("Service"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

We collect information you provide directly to us when you create an account, use our Service, or communicate with us:

Profile information: display name, avatar, and bio
Content you upload: audio files, MIDI files, comments, project names, and descriptions

Payment information: processed securely through our payment provider (we do not store full card numbers)

We do not use your audio content for training machine learning models, advertising, or any purpose other than providing the Service to you.

Data Storage

Your data is stored on secure servers with industry-standard protections. Account data is stored in encrypted databases. We use Cloudflare infrastructure for content delivery and storage, with data centers located in regions that provide the best performance for our users.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete your data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes.

Audio Files

Your audio files are encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3 and encrypted at rest using AES-256 server-side encryption. Audio files are stored in Cloudflare R2 object storage.

Stem separation is performed entirely on your local device using on-device machine learning models. Your audio is never uploaded to our servers or any third-party service for processing. The separated stems are stored locally until you choose to upload them to a project.

We do not access, listen to, analyze, or use your audio content for any purpose other than storing and delivering it to you and your authorized collaborators.

Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share information with:

Service providers who assist in operating our Service (hosting, payment processing, email delivery), bound by confidentiality agreements
Law enforcement or government agencies when required by law or to protect our rights
Other parties with your explicit consent

Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels. Analytics, if used, are privacy-focused and do not track individual users across sites.

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
Delete your account and associated data
Export your data in a portable format
Object to or restrict certain processing of your data
